Ange Postecoglou has named his team for this afternoon’s Cinch Premiership clash against Ross County. There is a major surprise in the starting XI with Moritz Jenz making his first start.
In goals, Joe Hart starts. Celtic’s No.1 has been mightily impressive since arriving in Glasgow.
In defence, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Moritz Jenz partner each other in the centre. Stephen Welsh scored against Aberdeen last Sunday but with Carl Starfelt returning, there were questions as to whether he’d start. The manager has gone with Jenz as he eases Starfelt back into the team. It is his first start for Celtic. Greg Taylor starts at left back after impressing last week. Josip Juranovic starts at right back.
In midfield, Callum McGregor starts at the base of the middle three. With Reo Hatate out, David Turnbull starts with Matt O’Riley.
In attack, Kyogo starts through the middle with Maeda and Jota operating on the flanks. Giorgos Giakoumakis has to settle for a place on the bench with the manager opting for the Japanese striker to lead the line. GG will hope to make an impact from the bench.
On the bench: Siegrist, Starfelt, Giakoumakis, Abada, Mooy, McCarthy, Bernabei, Forrest & Ralston
Come on Celtic!
