Neil Lennon has named the starting XI for today’s game against St Mirren at Celtic Park. The Buddies thrashed Dundee United 5-1 in their last outing while Celtic overcame Hamilton by two goals to nil. With Rangers not in action today, the reigning Scottish Champions can cut the lead to 20 points with a win – with two games still in hand. It is the same team for Celtic as Wednesday night and they will be hoping for a more convincing scoreline.
In goals, Lennon continues with Scott Bain, who he confirmed midweek was the No.1 until Vasilis Barkas can displace him. The goalkeeper position is one that has been chopped and changed all season, which may explain the alarming amount of goals conceded. However, it is ex-Dundee goalie Bain that takes the gloves today after a clean sheet midweek.
In defence, Lennon has opted to go with Kris Ajer, Nir Bitton, Shane Duffy and Greg Taylor.
In midfield, Callum McGregor is joined by Ismaila Soro, David Turnbull and Moi Elyounoussi in the midfield diamond.
In attack, Leigh Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard start looking to build upon their goals on Wednesday night.

On the bench: Barkas, Welsh, Ajeti, Christie, Klimala, Rogic, Ralston, Johnston, Laxalt.
Despite taking media duties yesterday, Scott Brown was not included in the match day squad. This was a big call from the manager and it will be interesting if it has been aggravated by an injury or if it is judgement call by Lennon.
The supporters are still awaiting the outcome of the management review, with Lennon’s fate on the line.
