Team’s Up – strong team as Ange eyes semi final spot

Ange Postecoglou has named his team for tonight’s game against Raith Rovers. The manager is taking no chances and has fielded a strong XI as he looks to seal his place in the semi-finals of the League Cup.

The Australian has made two changes from the team that lost to Livingston at the weekend with Carl Starfelt and Adam Montgomery replacing Stephen Welsh and Boli Bolingoli.

In goals, Joe Hart continues with the Englishman taking the armband in the absence of Callum McGregor.

In defence, Carl Starfelt returns to the team and he partners Cameron Carter-Vickers. They are joined by Anthony Ralston and Adam Montgomery in the full-back positions.

In midfield, James McCarthy continues despite criticism over his performance against Livi. In truth, he looked well off the pace but given he was out with COVID-19. McCarthy is joined by Tom Rogic and David Turnbull in the midfield three.

In attack, Albian Ajeti continues and is joined by Jota and Liel Abada.

On the bench: Bain, Scales, Urhoghide, Bitton, Bolingoli, Juranovic & Giakoumakis.
