Albian Ajeti scored on Tuesday night as Celtic routed Killie 4-0 and many were expecting this goal to be a turning point for the Swiss striker. However, in Saturday’s game against Motherwell the ex-Basel man appeared quiet to the naked eye. Although, Bhoys Analytics on Twitter has taken a look at his performance, detailing how he is slowly improving and going to get better.

Ajeti had 0.35xG & 0.13xA against Motherwell, he was unfortunate not to have a larger return and a goal to his name as he just misses a great cross from Taylor for a tap inAjeti would get joy from crosses in this game, he has great ability to find space and make runs

Here Ajeti shows a strong ability to get in-between the CB pairing, on both these occasions he gets to the ball due to his clever movement and starting position. This allows him to get the edge of the defenders. Also generates dangerous touches in the box pic.twitter.com/JLGoq0jVbL— Bhoys Analytics (@BhoysAnalytics) February 8, 2021

I think some of the criticism has been harsh. His performance against Motherwell showed improvement from the Kilmarnock game as he doubled the amount of touches he had in the box. He is dangerous and clever and I think goals will come. He needs to start games though

Despite five goals in his opening five games, Ajeti was injured in as he scored against Hibs. He then went fifteen games without a goal, ending that drought against Killie. Now, the player will hope that his hearing clears him of simulation and clears him to continue playing and hopefully striking up a partnership with Odsonne Edouard.
The insight into Ajeti’s game is fascinating, he has always appeared to get himself into good positions and there were claims that this was reminiscent of Gary Hooper for the club. The player has struggled to really settle and he admitted in the wake of the win at Rugby Park that he was working hard to get better and fitter, we will hopefully reap the rewards of this dedication in the coming weeks as Ajeti gets up to speed.
Ajeti is nowhere near good enough to play for CELTIC, he can’t hold the ball up, useless in the air. Grif was slaughtered for returning fat and unfit, we paid 5m for a fat and unfit ajeti, that’s the reason West ham outed him.
