The Two Danger Men for Sunday’s Glasgow Derby – John Beaton and Kyogo

Celtic supporters might be worried about the match officials but theRangers fans biggest fear is their awful record against Celtic over the past few seasons where they have won one dead rubber and just can’t stop Kyogo scoring…

On our own concerns, as a great man once said “If you’re good enough, the referee doesn’t matter.” Pity Jock had no wisdom to share with us about VAR officials! There’s been much said about the appointment of John Beaton as the man in the middle for Sunday’s Glasgow Derby at Ibrox, and for good reason.

It’s dubious to say the least that the man who has well known leanings towards theRangers has been trusted with such a vital game, especially since it’s only been a few weeks since he was publicly and correctly criticised by Brendan Rodgers, who usually says nothing controversial about referees.

However it’s something we can’t control and we just have to get on with the task in hand and concentrate on winning the game. And again as a great man once said: “If you’re good enough, the referee doesn’t matter” and that is one hundred percent correct. We can’t control the outcome of the referees ‘decisions’ but we can control the way we play.

We need to be fully focused and play to our strengths, and if we can do that then there is a high chance we will win the game. Man for man we will have a better team than them. A team packed with tried and tested winners. We’ve been to Ibrox already this season and won against the odds despite having an under strength side. On Sunday we will have a much stronger side available.

Yes theRangers will have the bit between their teeth, but it’s not an impossible task for Brendan Rodgers and his players. It’s very much winnable in spite of who is officiating proceedings.

Celtic are more than capable of winning on Sunday and going on to win the league and it will be all the sweeter when we celebrate the title triumph remembering the dastardly efforts of Crawford Allan, John Beaton and the rest of them at the Scottish FA.

Celtic’s got Kyogo and John Beaton’s all they’ve got. We can do this Bhoys!
