Timothy Weah and how Celtic fans media embarrassed the MSM

TIMOTHY WEAH arrived in Dubai late last night and signed on for Celtic on the six month loan deal that The Celtic Star today you about EXCLUSIVELY on Christmas Eve. You might recall that at that time the red tops were talking about Andy Carroll and even Jermain Defoe being where Celtic’s signing targets. How did that work out?

Here is our exclusive story from Christmas Eve.

Yesterday there was speculation that the loan deal could be extended to 18 months but that didn’t happen at this stage. But with PSG extending the player’s contract at the end of last week, there is scope for Celtic to keep Weah next season if things go well in the initial loan period.

“It’s a fantastic honour to sign for such a historic club, and I’m really looking forward to this opportunity.

“I’m also delighted to be working with such a great coach and great team-mates, and I’m looking forward so much to be playing in front of some of the best and most passionate fans on the planet. I’m so happy and so excited.” Weah told the official website.

Here’s him arriving at the Celtic training camp this morning – remember Dubai are four hours ahead of Celtic Park time…

We expect another arrival in Dubai very soon indeed!
