I’m sure there’s some sort of cliche about goals and busses and how often they come along. St Mirren really managed to frustrate Celtic in the first half but you always got the feeling that one goal could lead to a few more.
James Forrest has capped off a pretty wonderful day. He’s got his new contract, finally been given a song and now his goal should ensure that Celtic still remain top of the league tonight.
It’s probably about as typical a Forrest goal as you will see, he cuts in from the right, attracts the attention of most of the defence but still manages to slam the ball through them and into the net:

St Mirren only have five league goals this season so it would take an incredible collapse to throw this one away. It’s almost like we can all take a deep breath and relax after a nervy first half.
