Video: Celtic finally break St Mirren down as Elyounoussi calms the nerves

Just when everyone was starting to panic and worries were emerging over who would finish the evening top of the league – step forward Elyounoussi.

The Norwegian had a fairly quiet start to life at Celtic Park but he’s really stepped up and shown what a threat he can be. His effort against Aberdeen probably didn’t get the credit it deserved as the game was already over as a contest, this one could be much more vital.

There’s a bit of luck in the way the ball ricochets back towards him, but if you keep getting forward and creating chances then you create your own luck after a while:

St Mirren don’t concede a lot of goals but they only have five goals themselves this season in the league. They will need to come out and take chances so there should be more goals in this for Celtic as the game goes on.

Still trying to figure out exactly why Vidar Riseth hammered the ball across his own goal line that night in Perth....
