CHRIS SUTTON has taken credit for Scotland’s qualification to EURO 2020 because of all the penalty practice he gave David Marshall at Celtic. The former Parkhead striker played with Marhsall between 2004-2006 and as the BT Scottish Football Extra team celebrated the result in tonight’s episode, Sutton took an alternative view to Marshall’s penalty heroics by claiming it was down to him.
"I knew David Marshall would come good!" 😂
The reaction from @chris_sutton73, @darrellcurrietv and Ally McCoist to Scotland's heroics is priceless…

Marshall was brilliant as he flew to his left to deny Mitrovic and send Scotland to their first major tournament in twenty-two years. Well done Marshall and maybe Sutton played his part but this one is definitely on the Derby County goalie.
