Video: Charlie Mulgrew’s Screamer Lights Up Midweek Clash With Dunfermline

On this day in 2012, Charlie Mulgrew struck a 35 yard thunderbolt into the roof of the net against Dunfermline Athletic. The goal gave Celtic the lead in the midweek SPL match, sparking the contest into life with its outrageousness.

Even with a sweet left foot, Charlie must have been stunned at that 32nd minute strike. James Forrest then made it 2-0 from much closer range in the 75th minute.

The result marked Celtic’s 13th consecutive victory in all competitions, equaling a record set by Martin O’Neill’s team in 2004.
