Rock and Roll hero, Rod Stewart has given his opinions on the current change of leadership at Celtic Park. With the recent departure of Ange Postecoglou, it is seeming likely that ex-Celtic boss, Brendan Rodgers, will be making his return to Paradise as gaffer.
Speaking to TalkSport, Stewart expresses his disappointment in the somewhat early departure of Ange Postecoglou, as he wanted him to further improve Celtic’s chances in Europe. Adding to this, Rod shared that he sent Ange a crate of wine every time he led Celtic to a victory against theRangers, where he quips that he ‘wants them back now’.
Regarding the potential return of Rodgers, Stewart compares the situation to a wife leaving you for someone else and then coming back. Not exactly high praise for the Northern Irishman, but the rockstar concludes his point by saying we should ‘forgive and forget’.
