Video: Highlights as Celtic go nine clear at Tannadice

Celtic were 2-0 winners in a Super Sunday clash at Tannadice. Dundee United were robust in defence and made it clear from the off that there would be no repeat of the 9-0 thumping back in August.

Ange Postecoglou’s side were dominant but couldn’t find an opening in the first 45. Although, two goals in the second half were enough to deliver the points which results in Celtic regaining their nine point lead.

Aaron Mooy put in a brilliant cross that looped over the United goalkeeper and allowed Jota to ghost in and finish with a top class header at the back post. In what is his 50th Premiership appearance, Jota’s headed takes him to 17 goals and 17 assists.

Celtic made it 2-0 from the spot after Aaron Mooy dispatched his penalty. VAR intervened after Freeman’s blatant handball was missed by Don Robertson in real time. The United player, who was already booked, deliberately handled a Jota pass and the spot kick was eventually awarded.
