With Celtic racing into a 1-0 lead, Ange’s men were failing to make a real impact on the second half and chances were few and far between against an admittedly resolute Aberdeen side, the Bhoys needed to kill off the game before the Dons got themselves back into it.
And with 15 minutes left, the new permanent signing from Benfica has done just that.
After being fed the ball from David Turnbull, Jota danced past Dante Polvara on the edge of the box, finding a square of space on the edge of the box. Not much backlift was needed for the star, and after firing his effort towards the top corner, a stranded Kelle Roos could do nothing about the effort which doubled Celtic’s lead and saw the Hoops surely kill the game off.
