Neil Lennon said he was delighted with Celtic’s response to going a goal down to St Johnstone in this afternoon’s match. Rooney scored with a header early in the second half but two goals in two minutes from the irresistible Odsonne Edouard sealed the three points for Celtic.

Celtic now sit 18 points behind Rangers, with one game in hand. The Scottish Champions have the chance to pull this down to 15 points on Wednesday night with Aberdeen visiting Celtic Park. Although, with this hard fought win making it four wins in four, it is likely to be a case of too little too late.
