Nir Bitton has been sent off after receiving a second yellow card. Moments after going ahead thanks to Liel Abada, Bitton was in a foot race with Dreyer as the right winger rushed into the Celtic box. The Midtjylland player dived and Bitton reacted, giving the ref a decision to make. Sandro Schärer decided that Bitton’s reaction, putting his finger in the face of Dreyer, was worthy of a second yellow card. As a result, Celtic will need to play the second half with ten men.

Dreyer appeared to be well offside but the linesman did not put his flag up and what followed could potentially impact Celtic’s European fate.
Ange Postecoglou was forced to make a change with Dane Murray coming on for goal scorer Abada. The Israeli winger scored moments before but had to make way for a central defender.
He’s let us down. He’s experienced and knows he’s on a yellow. We couldn’t afford anyone pushing the self destruct button tonight and possibly the most experienced player on the team does it.
