Video – Starfelt and Taylor train, Rogic and Bitton ready

Celtic have posted a training video from Lennoxtown this morning showing Ange putting the players through their paces ahead of the Cinch Premiership match tomorrow evening against Hearts at Celtic Park.

You’ll notice that both Carl Starfelt and Greg Taylor are highlighted in this video and of course Ange went on to all the lunchtime media conference that both Tom Rogic and Nir Bitton will be involved tomorrow night.

With so many key games between now and 2 January squad rotation is going to be crucial so the bigger the squad the better. One player we are unlikely to see in action though is French defender Christopher Jullien who has been out since the end of December last year with a knee injury after colliding with a goalpost at Celtic Park in a match against Dundee United.

Ange around a month ago told us that he’d expect to see Jullien back in the squad after the end of the last international break, then later on he pushed that back to the end of November. Today he’s apparently not been able to put a timeframe on the defender’s return and it’s probably not going to be after the winter break before he’s ready.

Bitton and Rogic could come in tomorrow night and give Turnbull an overdue rest and have McCarthy back on the bench after his decent performance against Aberdeen. Two games in quick succession for him might be too much given that he’s not played too much football this year.
