Video: “You can expect 100 percent from me,” Celtic’s new Canadian star Clarissa Larisey

I’m looking forward to watching two Champions League qualifiers in action this afternoon as Celtic FC Women take on long term Champions Glasgow City at the Penny Cars Stadium in Airdrie with the game kicking off at 4.10pm.

If you’ve not been to this tidy little stadium you’ll certainly enjoy the experience and it’s a major upgrade from playing the women’s home matches at K-Park in East Kilbride, which has more of a training ground feel to it.

The standard of football on display this afternoon will be top drawer, both sides have every reason to believe that they can win this game and go on to win the SWPL this afternoon and with Charlie Wellings leading the line don’t be surprised if Celtic come away with a win that for Fran Alonso and his side will be absolutely massive.

And watch out too for a significant performance from Celtic’s new Canadian star Clarissa Larisey, a deadline day signing by Fran Alonso.

“You can expect 100 percent from me. I mean, I’m going to put everything I’ve got on the pitch every time I touch it. I’m grateful just to be able to touch the field every day. So, 100 percent into everything,” Larisey told Celtic TV (watch below).

If you can’t make it along to the game, it’s also live on BBC Alba…

  1. I care. I coach girls soccer in Canada and i for one am extremely proud that a Canadian girl is playing for my team in Scotland and these women are wearing our club’s badge so we should be giving them support.
