Videos – Contrasting Goal Celebrations on Unique Angle from Pittodrie and Celtic Park

Celtic TV’s Unique Angle from Pittodrie is available to watch now and it shows the late Celtic goal from Leigh Griffiths after a wonderful cross from Moi Elyounoussi that salvaged a point and prevented a second successive defeat for John Kennedy’s side. You’ll notice that young Dembele has the enthusiasm of youth as he clearly looks delighted at the Celtic equaliser, while young Stephen Welsh made the effort to give the goalscorer a high five. Tellingly, nothing much from the rest of the side. Watch for yourselves…

Compare and contrast with Celtic TV’s Unique Angle from Celtic Park last night as Celtic FC Women recorded their second successive 1-0 of the season against the SPWL’s big spenders theRangers. As you will undoubtedly know The Celtic Star has supported and promoted the women’s team this season – every game, transfer story, player interview and showing you the videos of the goals.

Last night was essentially a must-win match for Celtic if the hunt for one of the two Champions League spots was to continue and there’s also a chance that the title could also be won. Plenty of games to be played between now and 6 June with matches at the weekend (starting at home to Hibs on Sunday) and in midweeks as the SWPL catches up on fixtures due to the Government enforced close-down at the start of the year due to the on-going pandemic situation.

So watch Chloe Warrington with the wonderful assist and for Celtic’s super-sub Mariah Lee with the impressively cool finish after 80 minutes…

*Quite unbelievably given that The Celtic Star has been, along with the Cynic, the only fans media to cover Celtic FC Media on an ongoing and consistent basis, the club decided to invite along a selection of other sites to the game last night but not ourselves. Apparently it was a ‘trial event’ and sites with little or no history of covering the women’s game were there.  A club like no other right enough.
