A Game of Frustration turns to Delight for Man of the Match McGregor

TODAY’S Man of the Match Callum McGregor reckoned that it was a frustrating afternoon at time against a defensive minded Hamilton but it all turned out very well in the end.

A 3-0 win was well deserved but the players were left wondering how they managed to pass up so many chances.

“It was frustrating at times for us, credit to Hamilton, they sat in and maintained a decent shape,” Callum said.

“We are delighted to get another three points.”

His manager reckoned that Zahid players got the win that their dominant play merited and with second placed Kilmarnock drawing at at third in the league Aberdeen, it was a decent birthday for Brendan Rodgers.

“You’ve got to keep your patience in these types of games,” he said.

“I thought we thoroughly deserved the victory.”

Celtic are at home again on Wednesday night against St Johnstone – who lost at Hearts today. The 100% home form is beginning to have a significant impact on the league title race…

Happy Birthday Brendan!
