Celtic 3 Hamilton 0 highlights, Lustig and Broony, Decisions, Decisions…

HERE are the highlights from yesterday’s 3-0 win over Hamilton, which clearly show Mikael Lustig setting up not one but two of our goals.

Personally I thought that he played very well again, having put in a decent shift against St Mirren in midweek so was surprised to hear the criticism aimed at the big Swede in the post match fans reaction on Celtic Fans TV, which we featured earlier today.

In contrast the E-Tims diary today was full of praise for Lustig, and that pretty much reflected his I saw the game yesterday and in particular Lustig’s performance. In the match notes at the game I wrote down that he was playing for his contract extension.

Celtic have a one year option on his current deal that expires at the end of the season and last week Mikael told a Swedish newspaper that he had been speaking to the club about his future.

Our two veterans are Lustig and skipper Scott Brown – whose future also is unclear to the supporters at least. Apparently he has reached a decision and was in seeing Peter Lawwell at the end of last week to let the club know.

So we could potentially lose both our wise old heads shortly or both could end up staying for a while longer. Lustig certainly wants to and is waiting on Celtic.

Celtic know what the captain’s intentions are and we should find this out shortly.

Fingers crossed both are staying.
