Celtic target completes move to Turkish side

Celtic goalkeeping target Dominik Livakovic has completed his move from Dinamo Zagreb to Fenerbahce. The Croatian international was a player that the Bhoys had been monitoring closely ahead of a potential move. Now though, it would appear he is too rich for the club’s blood at nearly £8 million.

Apparently the goalkeeping department is a position that new boss Brendan Rodgers is looking at improving. Having sold Conor Hazard to Plymouth Argyle in a deal worth up to £150,000, it leaves just Scott Bain and the rarely seen Benjamin Seigrist to compete with current number one, Joe Hart.
If anything were to happen to Joe we would be in a real pickle as neither have instilled confidence when put into the starting line-up. Although, to be fair, Seigrist has hardly been given more than the odd outing, but it is clear the only reason Bain was kept at the club was due to the home grown players registration rules for European football.
However, it looks like whoever the Hoops get to compete with the big Englishman next season, it will not be the aforemtioned Croatian number one. Rudy Galetti revealed the deal with Fenerbahce went through today and he will head to the Turkish giants in the coming days.

The search goes on.

About Author

I'm a Garngad Bhoy through and through. My first ever Celtic game was a friendly against Italian side Parma at Celtic Park, in 2002. Currently a student of English Literature and Education at the University of Strathclyde for my sins. Favourite game would be a toss up between beating Manchester United with that Naka freekick, or the game against the Oldco when Hesselink scored in the dying seconds. I'm still convinced Cal Mac is wasted playing that far back.
