Celtic’s fine star to the summer window with more to come

Such a good start to the window. Let’s hope it gets even better, and for once I’m supremely confident we will…

As June came to a close we welcomed our fourth summer recruit as Callum Osmand put pen to paper on a four year deal.

The highly promising forward was snapped up from EPL side Fulham as he joined Kieran Tierney, Ross Doohan and Benjamin Nygren as our summer recruitment plans ramp up ahead of the new campaign with Japanese defender Hyatt Inamura soon to be joining them.

Even the most critical of supporters amongst our ranks would have to admit that it’s been a good start to the window and we’ve only spent in the region of £2 million, making it a case of so far so good.

That said we’ve still got a lot to work to do, and two or three new faces is a must, with quality additions at that. We have cash to splash and it’s imperative we do just that to further improve our squad and more importantly our starting XI.

Credit to the club for bringing in some much needed additions, let’s hope it gets even better in the coming weeks, and you know what? Im supremely confident it will for a pleasant change.

Best of luck to young Callum who might just have made the best decision he’ll ever take in his playing career and thanks to Matt ORiley for the endorsement for the finest team in Scotland.

  1. Yes very pleased with signings scottish media dont build up Celtic signings like they build up the Rangers ones and thats good cause through the years the Rangers signings are under pressure to perform well above what the are up to decent player not world class as Scottish media make them where as Celtic new signings can go out show what they can do not what Scottish media say they can do fans the Rangers are expecting steak and get spam instead. Celtic are buying for europe our squad is good enough for spl and the cup defeat on penalties is the worst thing to happen to the rest of spl teams any compliances that was setting in will not now players and staff will be raging and will desprate to go and show teams it was a one off expect parking the bus again this season maybe new laws in goalkeepers time waisting could also make teams have at least 8 ball boys i seen some clubs Celtic visit four position at each corner flag allowing goalkeepers to get the ball themselves at a walking pace yes we need soccer speed it up refs handing out cards after one talking to for time waisting

  2. Breath of fresh air reading something positive from a celtic blogger for a change, other sites seem to just look for an excuse to slate the board and already saying this window going to be a shocker and going to be project signings etc, honestly grinds my gears how negative these folk are, they seem to think we need to spend big and and anything else lacks ambition, 25m on idah, engels and trusty poor money spend i think as none justified their fees so far, buying well is the key not just big transfer fees, great start to the window in my opinion and great value as well so far, can see this being a positive window
