Celts Face Saints Test in Scottish Cup Draw

Celtic have drawn St Johnstone in the Scottish Cup Quarter Finals after beating Clyde 3-0 this afternoon.

The 3-in-a-row holders will face Tommy Wright’s side at McDiarmid Park on the weekend of February 29th/March 1st with the winner booking a place to the semi-final at Hampden in April.

Celtic were in Perth a fortnight ago and their slick performance blew the Saints away in the first half.

Celtic will be happy with the knowledge that they have a 30-0 aggregate versus the Saints in their last 7 games.

Despite Perth being a tough game, Neil Lennon will know that there were a number of other potentially trickier matches – such as an away game at Tynecastle or perhaps away to Hibs.

All in all, a good draw.
