Celtic’s most recent goalscorer has had to play a bit-part at the treble chasing Champions this season despite being Steve Clarke’s first pick right-back…

Alistair Johnston plays that role for both Celtic and the Canadian national and it’s the former that has restricted the Celtic academy graduate’s game-time this season. Not that Tony Ralston holds any ill-feeling to towards his Celtic teammate, quite the opposite actually.
“We get on great. That’s on the training pitch and outside of football”
“We get on great. That’s on the training pitch and outside of football. We support each other, regardless of who’s playing,” Ralston said, as reported by Daily Record. “That doesn’t change if it’s me in the team or vice versa – it works both ways.
“It’s a healthy relationship we’ve got because the most important thing here is always the team. We are built on success and as long as that’s happening we’re both happy.

“I strive for my own personal goals in my career. I like to keep my head down”
“Listen, I strive for my own personal goals in my career. I like to keep my head down and work towards them. Playing for Scotland this season has been great. It’s a real honour for me and my family.
“And by keeping myself right, I’ve been able to go in and do my job for my club as well. It means whenever I’m called upon I’m in the best shape possible to do that job for the team,” Anthony Ralston said.
If called upon this afternoon at Hampden in the Scottish Cup semi-final against St Johnstone, every Celtic supporter knows that Anthony Ralston won’t let us down. He never has and never will.

Ralston annoyed one Celtic supporter last week
The boy who sits next to us at Celtic Park last weekend had a tenner on Celtic to win 4-1 with Daizen Maeda scoring anytime. He wasn’t too happy as the rest of us celebrated a special goal and an extra special moment for Anthony Ralston. Not even that Bhoy will grudge Tony that.
