“I want to express my gratitude to Celtic,” Oliver Abildgaard posts emotional farewell

Oliver Abildgaard posted an emotional farewell message to Celtic this evening on his Instagram account after completing his move to Serve A strugglers Hellas Verona FC.

Abildgaard joined Celtic from Russian side Rubin Kazan on a season long loan deal in August. However as the Danish international player had been training away from his club due to the war in Ukraine it took an extended period for him to get his match fitness up. That has now happened but it’s not going to benefit Celtic but might just help keep Hellas Verona FC in Serie A. We certainly wish him well.

Here’s Oliver Abildgaard farewell message to Celtic…

“It all comes to an end, before it even started. Despite my short period of time in the club I have witnessed the truly special atmosphere at Paradise, the incredible support from our fans and the beautiful values this club is based on.

“I want to express my gratitude to Celtic for, amongst other things, getting me back on track physically and fully fit to start my next adventure.

“Thanks for all the beautiful memories you have given me, that I will carry with me forever. I wish all the best of luck to everyone connected to the club.,” Oliver Abildgaard.
