“It’s such a joy, for us to see” – The new Celtic home jersey is here

Celtic dropped the new Celtic kit update this morning and it’s the same shirt we showed you earlier in the week.

Initial response has been positive from Celtic fans

As always there are mixed views within the support, the hint of tartan coming in for some criticism, but the best advice is to wait until you see it in the superstore before making your mind up. With some notable exceptions, generally the rule of thumb is that the kit grows on the support and even one or two of those exceptions end up being cult shirts further down the line.

Celtic among the elite group of clubs adidas works with globally

This release sees Celtic move into the adidas elite group of clubs so we can expect wider distribution throughout the world, no bad thing for a football brand with a wider reach than most clubs on these shores.

The naysayers are in the minority this time around and they are usually won over anyway, so it’s looking like a successful kit launch for Celtic and adidas. The shirts are priced at £75 for adults, £60 for juniors, £50 for infant kits, and £40 for baby kits without socks add there is also an elite version matching what the players will wear at a premium price.

Not to worry

Usually Celtic sends the Celtic fan media sites the images and videos etc for the kit launch but nothing has come in this morning at this end from the club. Photos shown are courtesy of @adidasfootball.

It’s been some week for Celtic

Celtic yesterday announced a new game-changing deal with adidas set to run for a decade and also a new joint venture with adidas to open a new flagship superstore on the corner of Argyle Street and Queen Street and this will replace the current city centre store further west on Argyle Street.

It’s been quite a week for Celtic, with all these adidas developments, the title being won and the support getting a first official viewing of next season’s kit. All we need now is a win at Ibrox on Sunday to put icing on the cake.
