Let the People Sing – Exclusive Video – Danny Kelly’s version of Over and Over

Yesterday on The Celtic Star we brought you a brilliant Q&A with Glasgow based Irish folk singer songwriter Danny Kelly. If you missed it you can check it out here again it really is well worth a look…

Dreams and Songs to Sing – Please join us on Friday evening for a pre-match singsong with Danny Kelly

Well Danny promised the Celtic Star readers an exclusive and original recording to get the Glasgow Derby weekend started with a sing song and he has delivered on that promise. Danny today recorded for us a brilliant version ‘Over and Over’ for you all to enjoy.

Let’s hope it’s the perfect start to a winning weekend for the Bhoys.

The Celtic Star is trying to support the many musicians who have their ability to play live and in turn make a living severely constrained by the current Lockdown. With social media sites such as Facebook also restricting live performances it seems as soon as one door shuts another slams in your face for Scotland’s musicians.

When you consider many of these artists supplement their income with jobs in the hospitality trade the current Lockdown can mean a double whammy on their incomes with no let-up on the bills that have to be met and mouths that need to be fed.

You can support Danny by buying something from is website. Check out all his CD’s and merchandise HERE.

You can also help support Danny through these incredibly tough times for musicians by going through his Paypal tips jar by following this link. Ff you enjoyed the music drop a few quid into the Paypal link, it all goes straight to the artist.

On Twitter it’s @dannykellymusic and it’s the same handle on Instagram while on Facebook, he’s Danny Kelly Irish Folk Musician. For Email contact it’s at info@dannykellymusic.com

We hope you enjoyed Danny’s performance. If you did here’s another from his archive to get you in the mood for tomorrow’s game with them at Celtic Park. ‘God bless this lovely land’ just had my five-year-old cutting some rug around the living room!

The Celtic Star would also like to hear from other singers, songwriters and musicians with a Celtic connection, it can any musical genre. We will do our best to increase the exposure for you as your live performances are constrained by Lockdown again.

If you wish to get in touch please Email us at editor@thecelticstar.co.uk and we’ll be in touch.

Thanks a million, to Danny Kelly for taking the time out to talk to us and for also the recoding of ‘Over and Over’ just for The Celtic Star readers. You’re a Celtic Star yourself Danny.
