BRENDAN RODGERS praised his players’ work rate last night and believes that the counter-pressing shows that Celtic have what it takes to break down sides that want to sit in and try to keep things tight at the back.

Rodgers praised the New Bhoys Burke and Weah, thought young Ewan Henderson was impressive and had a special word for Scotty Sinclair who he believes does not lack confidence.

Sinclair stood up to take the penalty last night and after missing the previous two, you could have been forgiven for thinking he’s pass on the responsibility to a teammate. That wasn’t an option for Sinclair who made sure that he’d score this time around!
