Neil Lennon suggests that Celtic could make signings in the ‘next few days’

A number of stars have been linked with Celtic in the January transfer window but the club have not managed to make a signing yet. But that could change soon according to Neil Lennon as the Hoops manager suggested that the club could be days away from new arrivals.

Celtic’s shortcomings were recently exposed in their 2-1 loss at home at the hands of the Rangers. And it is clear that there a number of issues in the squad that need to be addressed in the January transfer window. As a result, a variety of players have been linked with a move to Parkhead although nothing has come to fruition yet. But new signings are on the way in the next few days if Neil Lennon is to be believed.

As reported by Sky Sports, the Celtic manager said:

“We have had three or four important calls between the staff and the club and obviously patience is the key.

“January is a difficult month to bring players in. Other clubs know that when you are the buying club, agents do as well.

“However, we have a number of options and got our eye on a few players and hopefully we will have a result in the next few days.”

Till now in January, the club have sold Scott Sinclair to Preston North End while Lewis Morgan also seems to be on his way to Inter Miami. It certainly looks like the club is clearing up space for new signings. And with recent reports claiming that they have activated Patryk Klamini’s €4 million release clause, the first arrival of January does not seem to be a long time away.
