Postecoglou is Planning to Maintain Celtic Momentum

Ange Postecoglou has no plans of letting his Celtic squad fall off form during the World Cup break. The Hoops will appear in the Sydney Super Cup in late November to clash with the English side, Everton, and Sydney FC. The Bhoys will then set their sights on Portugal, where they will attend a week-long training camp in Algarve (according to French reports).

The Bhoys have also lined up a match against the French side of Stade Rennais on 9 December. A day where we are also set to see two of the World Cup’s Quarter Final fixtures. Ange is looking to take his squad from strength to strength as the second half of the season looms ever closer, which will prove to be a busy time for the Bhoys as a direct result of the unfortunate timing of the Qatar World Cup.

The Celtic gaffer has also revealed due to his busy schedule, he will only see glimpses of the World Cup this Winter. As reported by the Sun, Ange said…

“It’s probably the only time I’ll have (after the Sydney Super Cup matches) within the next sort of period to get down to Melbourne and visit friends.

“I’ve got about another week off after those games. So, I’m gonna go down to Melbourne and just catch up with people and watch the games on the telly,” the Celtic manager said.

“And then we’ll head back, cause we’ll go back straight after that and go into camp in Portugal, and get ready for the second half of the year.”

“With the World Cup being smack bang in the middle, it means the programme either side of it is super congested.”

Meanwhile you all thought tht the refereeing and VAR decisions were bad on Saturday (all going against Celtic of course) well on Sunday it got even worse. Watch the incident which resulted in a red card for Celtic FC Women playmaker Jacynta. It’s two minutes into the video…
