Transfer Latest – Former Celtic Star Jota agrees to join West Ham

Former Celtic Star Jota looks like ending his time in Saudi Arabia after reaching terms with English Premier League side West Ham, who of course are managed by the former Celtic full-back David Moyes.

Celtic’s former ‘Superstar from Portugal’ left the club last June after helping Ange Postecoglou’s team secure a treble with the 3-1 Scottish Cup win over Inverness Caley Thistle.

Football wise that was as good as it got for Jota who despite an incredibly large salary, has been sidelined at Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad, despite the mega-wealthy club spending £25m on the transfer fee fin the deal with Celtic.

This morning sports writer Santi Aouna, from Foot Mercato, with over a quarter of a million followers, posted this exclusive story saying that an agreement reached between Jota and West Ham and noting that positive talks are taking place between Al-Ittihad and the Premier League side. Aouna adds that “Sources feel clubs they can reach full agreement” and reports that Jota is waiting for the green light from the clubs to travel to London for a medical.
