Video: Abandoned Football Stadium, Glasgow’s Forgotten Football Team

Cathkin Park is a site with a huge history in Scottish football. It is also a place of historical prominence for Celtic too.

Cathkin Park was the home of the now defunct Third Lanark, who sadly ceased as a football club in 1967 after several years of mismanagement saw the club go from a genuine force in the Scottish game to extinction. How history repeats itself in Scottish football!

Celtic played at the stadium in many big games including a cup final against Rangers back in 1899.

This new video from a well know football vlogger tells a little more about Cathkin Park, whilst you can also read about Celtic’s connection with the ground in this old article by The Celtic Star.
