Celtic took a 2-0 lead over Real Betis thanks to goals from Albian Ajeti and Josip Juranovic. The Hoops took the lead in Seville after 15 minutes as a breakaway move from Jota saw Ajeti put the ball in the net only for it to be ruled out for a suspected handball. However, the German VAR Assistant told the Croatian ref that the goal should stand. It was a deserved lead for Ange Postecoglou’s side after an impressive start against the La Liga side.
GOAL for Celtic! 🍀

Then Ajeti and Jota were at it again with the Swiss striker going through on goal against an on-rushing Claudio Bravo. The ex-Barca & Man City slid into the tackle and left Ajeti in a heap. Fullback Juranovic and dispatched a penalty into the corner, leaving Bravo with no chance.
Unfortunately, Celtic would do as they tend to in Europe and make things more difficult for ourselves.
