Video: Celtic’s Kasper Schmeichel saves Cristiano Ronaldo’s penalty

Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel saved Cristiano Ronaldo’s penalty earlier this evening. The Danish stopper denied the former Man Utd and Real Madrid star after guessing the right way and denying a weak penalty from the veteran.

The game is currently poised at 3-3 on aggregate with Portugal currently leading 3-2 on the night. Ronaldo made up for the game later in the game to make up for the miss.

Rangers fans will know of Schmeichel’s quality when facing penalties after he made Ridvan Yilmaz cry in December after saving his penalty. The Dane would help Celtic win the first piece of silverware of the season and will be hoping to bring a Treble to Paradise in the coming months.
