Video: The Wee Armagh Bhoy – Jay Beatty AKA The Wee Celtic Bhoy

George Willams has written a song in tribute to one of the most famous and well loved Celtic supporters, young Jay Beatty and the musician has posted a video of the catchy song on YouTube which starts with an explanation of how he came know about Jay – George isn’t a Celtic supporter – but you get the feeling he’s heading in that direction.

Rather, he was inspired by Jay for his sheer happiness and joy at watching his football team play, his cousin and a neighbour are Celtic supporters and both contributed to helping George understand Jay’s Celtic story even better, correcting one or two errors as he spent a number of weeks working on the song when he had the chance.

The video starts with George telling the background to the song and the music starts around 3:40, but it’s well worth listening to the entire video and if you like it please share so that we can get “The Wee Armagh Bhoy – Jay Beatty AKA The Wee Celtic Bhoy’ heard by as many supporters as possible.

Maybe Celtic could play it at Paradise? Jay would love that…

Our photos are from Vagelis Georgariou, mostly from ten years ago, hopefully Jay will like them!
