Hoops legend Scott Brown is bracing himself to block out the distractions as he gears up to face his former Celtic manager, Neil Lennon, in the dugout for the first time…

Neil Lennon has been appointed as the new manager of Pars, taking on the role for the remainder of the season. The Fife side is currently in ninth place, fighting to avoid automatic relegation and the looming threat of the play-off spot.
Ayr host Dunfermline at Somerset Park
On Saturday afternoon, Ayr will host Dunfermline at Somerset Park. Broony acknowledges that his team will need to perform at their highest level if they hope to keep their narrow title aspirations intact against what he anticipates will be a revitalised Dunfermline team.
Speaking to the Ayrshire Post, the former Celtic captain said: “There will be plenty of focus on Lenny going in there and he’s been hired to do a job over the coming seven games. Nobody needs to tell me what a top manager he is, and he’ll get a reaction out of them, I’ve no doubt about that.”

Broony continued: “They’ll be organised under him and come down here with a point to prove, so it’s going to be a big test for us. We’re not sure how they’ll set up and what he’ll look to come in and change, but we can only focus on ourselves and what we can affect.
“We need to go out there and get back to winning ways so it’s a case of concentrating on our job and what we do.”

Meanwhile, Victor Wanyama in a shock move has signed for Dunfermline and reunited with Lennon at East End Park. The Kenyan, who made 91 appearances during his time at Celtic will look to become the main man as the Pars fight for Championship survival.

With the arrival of both Neil Lennon and now Victor Wanyama you would expect a larger than usual travelling support at Somerset Park on Saturday afternoon.
