David Potter tells the story of all 41 of Celtic’s Scottish Cup Final Triumphs

Celtic Historian David Potter takes us through a remarkable journey on this Beautiful Sunday as he updates his history of Celtic’s now 41 Scottish Cup Final wins after yesterday’s 3-1 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Hampden in the Sun. The Green Brigade will be Celtic’s Red Army this morning after having the hot Scottish sun beat down on them all afternoon in what’s called ‘Taps Aff’ weather in Glasgow. Hope they had the sense to apply some Factor 67 to help cope with the conditions!

The story of Celtic captains lifting the Scottish Cup starts on 9th April 1892 and goes all they way through to yesterday 3rd June 2023 and these two Celtic triumphs in Scottish Cup Finals and the 39 others in between are all reviewed and highlighted below. Enjoy!
