‘Inch Perfect,’ Scotty Sinclair’s Forrest praise

SCOTTY SINCLAIR headed the golden goal last night that gave Celtic the win and sets us up for the final game of the group against Salzburg in a fortnight.

The Englishman was quick to praise his fellow wide-man James Forrest for the sensational cross which put the chance to score on a plate and gave Celtic the most vital of things – a rare win away from home in Europe.

“No matter how I score it’s always very pleasing to be on the scoresheet,” Sinclair stated.

“I’m making a little bit of a habit out of scoring headers now!

“It’s great to be back in the team and full of confidence and back in form, and obviously now we’re winning games too.

“Just being back in has given me confidence. To get form you have to play games and I’ve played the last five or six and built up momentum.

“It’s great for me to build on that and hopefully I can keep performing.

“It was an unbelievable cross. Jamesy has been exceptional, he put it straight onto my head and I couldn’t miss really.

“We created chances and we should have scored more goals, but we’ll take the 1-0.

“It’s great that we have kept performing, kept creating chances, and thankfully one has gone in.”

Celtic now need a point in the final game against group winners Salzburg who will be looking for the win to give them a perfect six from six wins record in the group. But Sinclair reckons that Celtic will be going all out to win that match.

“Definitely. It’s up to us, it all comes down to us winning the game.

“We only need a draw, but we’ll go out to win it and it has the potential to be a really great night,” he said in the press conference after the game.
