‘Last chance saloon’ – Reaction to today’s Green Brigade Update

WE told you this morning that the Green Brigade would be back at Celtic Park this evening and hoped that this was as signal that the Ultras group, who were banned from last Thursday night’s 3-1 win over Rennes in the Europa League. Tonight, ‘Brisk gusty winds up to 25mph’ and a welcome return for the Green Brigade.

Now the Green Brigade have confirmed that they will be back in their usual spot inside the stadium tonight and will also be there at Hampden in Sunday as Celtic chase down their tenth consecutive trophy in what is Celtic’s first ever Cup Final against the Rangers.

Green Brigade Update

“We can confirm that the full standing section will be open for tonight’s game and tickets for those within the section who were successful in the ballot have been guaranteed for Sunday’s Cup Final.

“We look forward to getting back to supporting the team,” the short Green Brigade message stated.

Some of the comments to the Green Brigade’s tweet…

“Good sense has prevailed”…”Great News!”….”Excellent news”…”Now stand still, no lateral movement and only chants approved by Uncle Pedro”…”Nice pic. Good to have you back for the final”…”Just a slap on the wrist. It’s a game played by both. Ticket is just behind them, looking forward to it as always. Mon The Bhoys as well.”…”Don’t make an arse of it. You’ll lose the support of the ordinary fan if you prolong the nonsense.”…”Why are the GB guaranteed tickets for the final, what makes them so special that they get one, what about the fans who were here long long ago before they even came on the scene, they think they are the only Celtic fans, Big Jock would have chased them.”…”Just leave out the flares it’s costing the club money. We need the GB in full voice at not sitting at home!”…”Great news. I hope this is an end to the who has the biggest ego nonsense between the club and the section of fans. Important we have full support without infighting.”…”Last chance saloon”.
