Video – Elyounoussi, ‘I am really happy here, Celtic is an amazing club’

PLAYER OF THE MONTH Mohamed Elyounoussi is fit for the resumption of club football this Saturday when Livingston are the visitors to Celtic Park and he’s also happy at Celtic but will leave it to the clubs to come to a decision on whether he’s going to become a permanent signing for the Hoops.

Southampton are reportedly looking for around £8-10million for the Norwegian winger and they could also be losing to off-load Fraser Forster at the end of the season too.

That would be involve a significant outlay from Celtic but both players are tried and tested playing for Scotland and would represent great value for money, if as expected Peter Lawwell can do all he can to talk down the asking price.

The Norwegian has been speaking to Celtic TV and talks about enjoying playing for the Hoops and unusually he even reckons that the Scottish weather isn’t too bad! He should have a work with Christopher Jullien about that! He’s certainly pleased with his Award but is also anxious to share the credit with his teammates.

“Everyone knows it’s a team sport, so I have to thank my teammates as well – But it’s a great achievement,” Elyounoussi said. Watch the interview below.

On making the move permanent he seems up for it, although there’s nothing definite going to be agreed at this stage in his season long loan deal from Southampton.

“Yeah I mean for now it’s not up to me. The clubs have to talk. I am really happy here, Celtic is an amazing club but I haven’t really thought about my future yet.

“I just think about the next training, next game and do my best. In the summer we will see where we go,” the Ladbrokes Player of the Month for October said.
