Social Media Bhoys convinced Celtic on verge of £2.5m Ismaila Soro signing

SOCIAL MEDIA Celts are pulling various pieces of information together and are convinced that Celtic are on the verge of signing Ismaila Soro

Here’s a screenshot (from the Kerrydale Street forum) from the player’s Instagram account where he has followed Celtic’s Instagram page and also various players including Bayo and indeed many Celtic supporters.

Here’s an example of Soro following a Celtic supporter from Twitter.”Sorro just requested to follow me back on Insta 😂 pure quality! First Celtic player ever to follow me on social media. Would be a bit awkward now if he didn’t sign.” @Celtic_67 posted.

Our Celtic supporter of the Decade @paulthetim added his own update. “Dudu Dhan in Dubai with Soro looks a done deal,” he tweeted, accepting that Dubu Dhan is not the player’s agent (although he is an agent with strong links to Celtic).

Then @GovanBhoy87 posted an image from the player’s Instagram page, confirming Paul’s tweet. “Seems he is,” he wrote.

Everything Celtic on the excellent @aboutceltic account added some information about the 21 year old defensive midfielder.

The first news of this deal actually broke last night, again via social media detectives keeping an eye on the player’s social media activity.

And if @spflscouting is correct the fee that Celtic are paying is around £2.5m.

The Celtic Star’s first report on Celtic’s interest in the 21-year-old Ivory Coast midfielder Ismaila Soro goes back to 3 December when we gave a figure of around £3million would be required, so if that’s correct Peter Lawwell has obviously been busy chipping away at the price!

Incidentally signing Soro could be the reason that the Victor Wanyama chat has gone all quiet.
