Things are starting to take shape for next season, but Celtic still have two major departures to make up for.
It’s not completely out of the question that Fraser Forster and Mohamed Elyounoussi could come back, but it’s starting to look unlikely and that means alternatives need to be found.
Ryan Fraser looks set to leave Bournemouth on a free transfer and has been linked with Arsenal recently, but a report has suggested that Celtic are prepared to make him their highest earner and have opened talks.
Patrick Roberts has also been linked in recent months and he could be an interesting addition to the squad, so it’s interesting to see that his value has plummeted to a very affordable level.
As for Forster it still looks like he’s the main target for the goalkeeping position, but Celtic have learned how much it would cost to sign AEK Athens’ Greek international keeper as an alternative.
There will always be talk about another striker arriving and that might seem unlikely with the current options that Lenny has in the squad, but Ivan Toney has revealed that he wants to move this summer in order to play at a higher level.
