Celtic’s Late Manchester Raid, Aitchison to Green Rovers, Jones Ruptured his ACL, thoughts and prayers etc

CELTIC will finish the transfer window with a flurry of activity. A fee of just over £2million has been agreed with Kilmarnock for Scotland International left back Greg Taylor and Ewan Henderson has now gone out on loan for the season to Ross County, signalling that Olivier Ntcham is not moving. After his masterclass performance from the bench at Ibrox yesterday that will be welcome news for the Celtic support.

Now it looks like Manchester City’s teenage defender Jeremie Frimpong – who we told you about this morning will be a Celtic player before the window closes at midnight.

Celtic youngster Jack Aitchison has joined Forest Green Rovers on a season long loan.

Celtic are also talking to Manchester United about signing defender Lee O’Connor from their Academy. The highly rated Irish teenager was named in the Man Utd Champions League squad last season.

Former United star John O’Shea knows all about O’Connor’s qualities as a player. He said: “I saw Lee up close and other people had been talking to me about him and I’d been trying to keep an eye on his career.

“Look he was quality, top quality on the pitch. He looked very comfortable, he went right-back to left-back in a breeze, it was no problem to him.”

Meanwhile our thoughts and prayers are with Jordan Jones who has today discovered that he ruptured his ACL in the closing stages of yesterday’s Beautiful Sunday and will now be out for the season.
