The Green Brigade Ultras have been raising money to assemble and distribute hampers to front line NHS staff over the last couple of weeks. The campaign started with members in Aberdeen and quickly covered hospitals in Glasgow and the surrounding areas.
So far the group has raised £4279.91 and has covered as many hospitals and NHS members of staff as possible. Their efforts, typical of the good charity work they have conducted over the last decade, has helped to provide a much needed morale boost to those facing the pandemic head on.
Today, the North Curve Celtic Twitter page uploaded a picture of a letter that the group received from workers in the mortuary:
This humbling and heart warming letter is just one example of how your donations are helping NHS staff on the front line.
To date we have raised £4279.91 which is being spread across as many hospitals and staff as possible. pic.twitter.com/ojsmGj632f

Following feedback from the hospital staff they have delivered hampers to, the group are now expanding their efforts to supply personal protective equipment to NHS workers and toiletries to workers.
Following feedback from staff, we’re now expanding our NHS appeal to help provide PPE for staff and toiletries for patients.
You can help support this, and the continuing staff hampers, by donating via PayPal to greenbrigade@hotmail.co.uk , adding the note ‘NHS’.

And in a bid to boost the campaign, the group has decided to sell previously member exclusive North Curve Celtic badges, as of tomorrow.
As part of our NHS appeal, we will be selling previously exclusive, members only, North Curve Celtic pin badges to raise more funds.
We only have 140 badges remaining and these will go on sale at 12pm tomorrow.
Details on how to purchase your badge will be given then. pic.twitter.com/oSmsdkFnkx
