Time running out as O’Connor pictured inside Paradise, but Wanyama stays at Spurs

LEE O’CONNOR is currently inside Celtic Park as the clock ticks towards the midnight hour when the Transfer Window closes. The talented Irish defender, is hoping to beat the deadline to compete his move to Celtic, joining Jeremie Frimpong who joined Celtic from Manchester City this evening and Scotland international Greg Taylor who signed for Celtic earlier this evening from Kilmarnock.

And the one that got away…Victor Wanyama is to remain at Tottenham after Celtic and Tottenham failed to reach an agreement on a season long loan deal that Celtic preferred whereas Spurs wanted a permanent transfer. Club Brugge had agreed a fee of around £13million with Tottenham but the former Celtic Star was reluctant to move to Belgium.

So with Wanyama not prepared to head to Brugge and Tottenham not willing to let him go on loan to Celtic, Big Victor will remain at Tottenham – for now anyway.
